To Honor Veterans, Naaba Ani students posted cards of veterans they knew on an American flag backdrop.  Students shared how they knew the service member, the branch of service, and a message of thanks on their cards.

Naaba Ani Elementary sends a message of thanks to all military veterans and active military members around the world for their courage, honor, and sacrafice in protecting and defending the United States of America.
Continuing Naaba Ani's tradition, we celebrated our annual Hanging of the Greens event that kicked off the 2011-2012 holiday season.

Over 300 people students and parents participated in reading activities, learned how to access and use the Accelerated Reader program, made ornaments, drank hot chocoloate, and listened to the classic holiday story "The Polar Express".
Forget about using spell checker when you don't know how to spell a word, use the students of Bloomfield Schools to do the spelling for you.

Students from Blanco and Naaba Ani competed in the elementary spelling bee.  Winners progressed to the district spelling bee.

Former NFL star Lavar Fisher, who played with the Arizona Cardinals and the New Orlean Saints, visited Naaba Ani Elementary offering a simple message to the students "Freeze".

The "Freeze" program takes a stand against bullying and ecourages students to stop and think of the consequences of their actions.

Mr. Fisher challenged students to hold onto their dreams and for parents to also be a part of that dream.
Naaba Ani shows off their math and science skills at this year's math and science night.  Over 300 people attended the event.  Parents and students had the opportunity to play with polymers, learn about sublimation, graph their coordinates on a life-size coordinate grid sytsem, explore the universe in a star lab, and learn through project discoveries presented by students.  Some of the student presentations included robotics, grip stength, pH testing, hydrogen fuel cells, solar cells, rocketry, and more.  The whole event was a real blast!
