The Don’t Meth with Us program’s mission is to educate children and families about the consequences of methamphetamine, arming them with the tools necessary to combat illicit drug use and addiction. To accomplish this, they go into the schools and engage students on a personal level, opening their eyes to a bright, drug-free future. Their vision is to develop a growing network of service organizations in a unified front against drug abuse. They work to bring together business and civic leaders to use their skills to empower youth in the community, breaking the cycle of drug addiction.

Every year they go to all the 5th grades in San Juan County to talk to students about the dangers of Meth; afterward the hold an essay contest. The contest has two sections: written essay and multi-media. This year the 3rd place winners of the multi-media division were from Ms. Olson’s class at Naaba Ani Elementary. Olivia Hankhouse, Celina Maes, Trinity McMurry, and Analyse Rodriguez performed a parody version of “Fight Song “. They won $75 to split and a gift card for the teacher.
